Over the last few months, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a uniquely challenging Shopify project in which I had to create a “customise your product” section using only the options available in Shopify.
The shot above shows the finished work, and it was all made possible without the use of any third-party apps. I’ve often read about the limitations of Shopify’s variant options, but when you break it all down into data, it’s actually a very powerful feature, especially when mixing in other components such as tags and metafields.
And of course, I did a fair amount of research and testing as early as the wireframing stage to ensure it would all work as expected.
